Currently under construction/renovation, this two-block, seven-acre former manufacturing campus will become the largest affordable housing development in Wisconsin. The campus, which dates back to 1906 and once home to Briggs & Stratton, has largely been vacant for about 40 years. Spire has addressed innumerable unexpected structural issues related to the original construction and age of the historic buildings.
The development includes over 20,000 SF of commercial/retail space; 190 affordable apartments; and 40,000 SF of community space.
